BUFFER ZONE HEARING TONIGHT!!!

Dear ProLife Friends,

Thank you each and everyone for your efforts to reach out to Louisville Metro Council Members via calls, letters, and emails concerning the proposed Buffer Zone Ordinance.

Last week Ed Harping, on behalf of the Archdiocese of Louisville, and I, on behalf of Kentucky Right to Life and our entire pro-life community, had the opportunity to testify on the matter of the Buffer Zone before a committee of the Louisville Metro Council. The measure passed 5 to 2 and as you are aware, the Buffer Zone is on the Agenda for this evening’s Metro Council meeting at 6 PM.

Representing the voice of Life we have three presenters:

  • Angela Minter, Executive Director of Sisters for Life and an experienced sidewalk counselor
  • Chelsea Prichett, a mother of two beautiful children, who will share her personal story as a pregnant mom and the sidewalk counselor who changed her life and the life of her son
  • Annie MacLean, attorney and currently stay-at-home-mom who will provide arguments for First Amendment rights of sidewalk counselors and if time allows, the prior Court ruling.

Here are the ways that residents can watch Metro Council meetings, this applies to all meetings:

  1. Tune into channel 99 on AT&T or 184 on Spectrum.
  2. Go to the Louisville Metro Council Home Page—
    »» Click on Metro Council Meetings (this link will be under the picture of the Clock Tower building on the right hand side of the page).
    »» The next page will be an itemized page so read the list of committee meetings carefully. In this case look for the blue link to the right of “Metro Council 5/6/21”, which will read “in progress” click this link.

Keep in mind that whether TV, Online or Metro TV, other material may be in view until the meeting begins.
