Pro-lifers granted temporary stay of execution on Buffer Zone!

Dear ProLife Friends,

The Courier-Journal is reporting today: "Anti-abortion groups sue Louisville over buffer zone ordinance they call illegal."

This is true. Sisters for Life and KRLA have filed suit in U.S. District Court, seeking "Declaratory Relief, Nominal Damages, and Injunctive Relief" from the Louisville Metro Government, Mayor, Chief of Police and Jefferson Co. Attorney, against the Buffer Zone Ordinance. Read the Legal Brief here.

This is a new and good wrinkle in the usual course of events, when a pro-life law is passed and immediately enjoined by the ACLU and the abortion clinics. THIS time, a law esteemed by abortion advocates has passed, and pro-lifers sought and WON an injunction! Read more!

We are pleased that our attorney has been able to broker this temporary agreement as we prepare for a full hearing in Western District Court. As a pro-life, pro-women organization, we believe that sidewalk ministry plays an important role in a woman’s right to have fully informed consent.
