The End & More
by Margie Montgomery, Executive Director
In these waning days of 2018, we can look back, and revisit our pro-life accomplishments, by the grace of God, and thank Him for aiding us with a legislative climate in the Kentucky General Assembly. This allowed laws, such as the Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act,
to pass by wide margins, then signed by Governor Matt Bevin. There are at least three pro-life laws in Kentucky being litigated at this time, but we hope and pray that the judges making these critical decisions will come down on the side of life.
We also want to thank you, our dedicated pro-life citizens, for attending these hearings and lending visible support to those representing us in the courtroom. We must continue our very strong advocacy for preborn babies' lives and for their mothers in a variety of ways.
One piece of legislation that will go into effect July, 2019, is the Web-Cam Abortion Ban Act, which is already law in several states. More lives will then be saved in Kentucky.
Also at press time we learned that one of our newest House members, Robert Goforth of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, has just introduced a "Heartbeat" bill into our Kentucky legislature, similar to one just successfully passed in Ohio. Stay tuned!
