KRTL Is 50!

From the desk of Addia Wuchner, RN, Executive Director

Dear Friends of Life,

Today, Kentucky Right to Life is celebrating 50 years!

Kentucky Right to Life was founded and formally incorporated on June 6, 1973. Because of our supporters, look where we are today!

For 50 years, Kentucky Right to Life, our Right to Life chapters, and our pro-life friends and supporters throughout the Commonwealth have been an unwavering voice for the most vulnerable in our midst: unborn children, their mothers, the infirm, and the dying.

We believe that every life is a gift of immeasurable worth, from conception to natural death, created in the image of God (Psalm 139). After 50 years, our mission continues: working together, changing hearts to make abortion unthinkable, and cultivating a culture where the dignity of every life is valued.

We are all sincerely grateful and honor our founders, Mrs. Margie Montgomery, Judge Robert F. Greene (dec), and architect Mr. Paul Kissel (dec), as well as the early ProLife warriors. They set our hearts on fire and inspired our hopes to pray, engage, and advocate for a world where the dignity and worth of each and every life created in the image of God are embraced.

Today we are continuing their mission as we strive to make abortion unthinkable.

As we celebrate Kentucky Right to Life’s 50th anniversary and, in just a few days, the historic June 24th, 2022, decision overturning Roe, we know our work is far from finished. Today’s culture calls each of us to the collaborative mission of creating a world where abortion is unthinkable and every child has the potential to weave their own unique and beautiful tapestry!

For our 50th anniversary, we are excited to share with you our first issue of Tapestry magazine, published to commemorate the Kentucky Right to Life 50th Anniversary and our Celebrate Life Gala with our special guest Dr. Ben Carson.

On behalf of our Board, Chapters throughout the Commonwealth and Members, I thank each of you for your continued prayers, support and friendship over the years.

Please be assured of our prayers.
