A Changing of the Guard?

In the wake of a news story in June that the American Medical Association plans to study assisted suicide, we recently learned of a proposal by our Kentucky Medical Society:

RESOLVED, that the Kentucky Medical Association rescind the policy that states abortion on demand be discouraged at any time4; ...

It is common to read in many different brochures and books that American medical institutions consider abortion and euthanasia to be wrong, but that perspective is changing before our eyes. Are the standard-bearers doing an about-face?
Please be aware, on Sunday morning, September 11, the Kentucky Medical Association house of delegates will be voting on a host of resolutions at its annual meeting at the Louisville Marriott East, 1903 Embassy Square Blvd. One of the resolutions seeks to overturn a long-standing general presumption against abortion in the KMA policy guidelines. The resolution is here.
The actual KMA Policy Manual can be found with the relevant abortion passages to be found on pages 34-36 of the pdf document.
Urge any medical professionals you know to call 502-426-6200 and respectfully ask the KMA to reject the adoption of the neutral language on abortion in its policy manual. Killing is not healing.

Thank you, volunteers!!

Our sincerest thanks to all volunteers who helped to people the KRLA booth at the 2016 Kentucky State Fair. The annual state fair is one of the best venues to reach the public with prolife materials and views to life before birth. We garnered more than 2,000 signatures for the "End Dismemberment Abortion" petition that will be provided to legislators to influence their votes on this issue.
