The Kentucky Right to Life Association, Inc. would like to welcome Brian Shoemaker of Louisville as our new Assistant Executive Director.
Brian has been active in the Pro-Life Movement through his participation in the Walk for Life, holding prayer vigils outside of Abortion Clinics, general public speaking in high school and college chapels, and through the observances of “Sacred Life Sundays” while serving as the Senior Pastor of churches in both Kentucky and Ohio.
Dr. Shoemaker comes to us not only as a seasoned pastor and counselor, but as an educator, having served in the Biblical and Religious Studies Department at Christian Academy of Louisville for nearly twenty years. He also brings his experience in development and marketing to the KRLA. For more than six years, Brian was on the development staff for the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Brian is married to Rhonda Adams from Whitesburg, Kentucky. He has one son, Andrew, who is a recent graduate of Presbyterian Seminary in Louisville. He himself is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands and received both his Masters and Doctoral degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has also done work in continuing education at Bellarmine University and Oxford University. Much of his education in marketing, fund raising, and public relations was acquired from an apprenticeship program at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.
“I am thrilled to add to the momentum of the KRLA.” Brian said, “The inspired work that was begun and continues through the tireless devotion of Margie Montgomery, John Graham, the Board of Directors, affiliates and volunteers throughout our home state is not only admirable, but essential for the sake of life! All life matters.”
